Welcome to Golf Fore Nature

Why do people love playing on great golf courses? It’s not just the layout or the greens — it’s the landscape.

Golf is played in some of the most remarkable green spaces in our towns, suburbs and regions. Many of these places already support wildlife, waterways, trees, and pockets of habitat — and with a little intention, guidance and community support, they can benefit even more.

Golf Fore Nature exists to make that connection visible and practical. We share stories, simple actions, and tools that help golfers and clubs notice what’s already there, improve what’s possible, and tell the story in a way that builds pride and participation.

Healthier and biodiverse landscapes mean better playing surfaces, and a deeper connection to nature. It also helps future-proof against climate challenges and build a reputation the community can be proud of.

If you’re curious about the birds you hear on the 6th tee, the frogs near a pond, or the wildflowers on the edge of a fairway — you’re in the right place.

Over time, we’ll publish short explainers, local case studies, and “how-to” posts that show what’s working (and why). Our aim is simple: help more people enjoy golf landscapes as living places — and help those landscapes thrive.
