Golf and nature belong together
Golf is played on some of Australia’s most remarkable landscapes — dunes, bushland, wetlands and coastal heath. These places shape how courses look, feel and play. They’re also home to native plants and wildlife that deserve attention and care.
Across Australia, many golf clubs and course teams are already doing meaningful work to improve habitat, restore native areas, and build more resilient landscapes alongside great golf.
Golf Fore Nature exists to help make that work visible — and help more people get involved.
What is Golf Fore Nature?
Golf Fore Nature is the community and storytelling movement for nature-positive golf in Australia.
We shine a light on the landscapes that make golf special, share practical stories of progress, and create simple ways for golfers, members and local communities to engage — from learning what lives on the course to contributing sightings through citizen science.
Our focus is to celebrate what’s happening, encourage more of it, and help the golf community bring others along for the journey.
What we do
Stories that build pride and momentum
We share club stories, project highlights and on-course nature features that help golfers and members understand what’s happening and why it matters — without turning it into a lecture.
Citizen science (simple ways to take part)
We support citizen science participation through platforms such as iNaturalist, including the Golf Fore Nature project. Sightings can help build an evidence base over time and create a deeper connection to the course.
Community involvement and events (growing over time)
As the movement grows, Golf Fore Nature will host and support community activations — such as BioBlitz-style days, course walks, junior learning moments, and partner campaigns — designed to be fun, practical and course-friendly.
Partnerships that help scale impact
We collaborate with aligned organisations and partners who want to support nature-positive outcomes in golf — through storytelling, campaigns and initiatives that help clubs and communities participate.
For golf clubs: where CourseTrackR fits
Golf Fore Nature is the movement and community brand. CourseTrackR is the club platform product within the same ecosystem.
CourseTrackR is built for course teams and decision-makers to:
map key course layers,
track course works,
bring in auto-fed datasets where available (e.g., species observations),
produce clear reporting and optional story outputs.
In short:
Golf Fore Nature helps inspire, engage and tell stories publicly. CourseTrackR helps clubs document and report their work efficiently.

Who’s behind Golf Fore Nature?
Golf Fore Nature is led by the team behind Environmental Golf Solutions, with on-ground experience working with Australian golf clubs and project teams across vegetation planning, habitat integration and practical course works.
We’ve built Golf Fore Nature to support the wider golf community — and CourseTrackR to give clubs a practical tool that fits how they operate day-to-day.
